Herzliya beach

The main attraction of the prestigious Israeli Herzliya Pituach suburb is Herzliya beach. Clean and photogenic, it is just 20 minutes away from Tel Aviv.

Beach description

At Herzliya, tourists will find a white sand blanket, a beautiful promenade, a marina, a rescue station, as well as excellent restaurants and bars with fun parties. There are no breakwaters on Herzliya beach, which makes it a dream for any surfer. In the beach sports club, you can take diving and surfing lessons, rent surfboards, catamarans, baidarkas, and kayaks.

Herzliya is adjacent to the Apollonia National Park, located on a cliff top. The remains of a medieval town with a 13th-century fortress have been preserved here, the climb to which allows you to see the entire coast of Herzliya. The shell house created in the rock by a hermit is also worth a visit, as well as the IDC College campus with its luxurious garden.

Along the coastline there are several resort hotels and restaurants, a business and entertainment center with a cinema, cafes, brand shops, and a gym. Next to the business and entertainment center, there is a park with racing track and cycle lanes, a playground, as well as extensive lawns with a pond and cafe. To the north of Herzliya, in Ga'ash, there is a nine hole golf course.

When is the best time to go?

Israel is located in a subtropical climate zone of the Mediterranean type, the characteristic features of which are mild winters and very hot summers. The most favorable time for a beach holiday in the Mediterranean and Red Seas is spring (April-May) and autumn (September, October, early November). On the Dead Sea you can relax all year round. The water temperature in winter does not fall below + 20 °C, but in the summer it is unbearably hot there.
