Dolphin Reef beach

In a closed area of the beach with an area of 10,000 m² and a depth of 18 metres separated by a net from the open sea, there is a large coral reef where there are 4 bottlenose dolphins brought from Russia in 1990, as well as other representatives of the marine fauna of the Red Sea .

Visitors of the beach can walk almost to the reef on the wooden platform and mingle with dolphins. You can go into the water in fins and a mask for diving for a fee.

Animals protrude and jump out of the water, make a series of welcoming sounds, demonstrate complete goodwill and cordiality. Dolphins are not trained. All the tricks that they perform for guests are their personal initiative. When they are free, they break through the net and swim into the open sea, but after a walk they always return home.

There are always a lot of visitors to the Dolphin Reef with children of all ages. A dive costs 339 shekels for adults (from 15 years old) and 309 shekels for children from 8 to 15 years old.

When is it better to go

Israel is located in a subtropical climate zone of the Mediterranean type, the characteristic features of which are mild winters and very hot summers. The most favorable time for a beach holiday in the Mediterranean and Red Seas is spring (April-May) and autumn (September, October, early November). On the Dead Sea you can relax all year round. The water temperature in winter does not fall below + 20 °C, but in the summer it is unbearably hot there.
