Managros beach
Managros is the largest beach in the northwest of Chios, located near the historic Volissos in the village of Amani. Its length is 1.5 km, and the total beach area reaches 40,000 square meters. Since Managros is infinite, the locals conditionally divide it into parts, calling each by its own name Rodhonas, Chori, Gonia, Katsaradika, Kasida , etc. The lack of infrastructure at Managros is offset by its mesmerizing landscapes of natural landscapes. High cliffs and hills, covered with undersized shrubs, frame the spacious beach, protecting it from strong winds.

The refreshing and crystal clear waters of Managros are the main feature of the Aegean Sea in this part of the island. The entrance to the water is gentle, but not shallow. The high waves for this beach are rather an exception, the sea is mostly quiet and calm, creating a relaxing atmosphere and perfect conditions for safe swimming. The beach is covered with dense yellow sand with admixture of fine and large pebbles.
The wide and specious coast of Managros attracts visitors who want to escape the crowds. The quiet surroundings and serene atmosphere make this beach ideal for camping. On the weekends, the coast becomes a place of discos and noisy parties in the summer, and the fun often lasts until the morning. You can reach Managros by motorbike or by bus.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
