Kapari beach

Kapari is located in the west of the Agios Ioannis Peninsula, next to the popular beach, which has the same name as the entire peninsula. Despite being close to such a noisy neighbor, Kapari is one of the quietest corners of Mykonos. White cliffs and the blue sea - what else do you need to dive into paradise?

Beach description

Reaching Kapari isn't the easiest task: a 150-meter long road, with a small platform in the end where you can park your car, leads to it, and you'll need to walk to the beach from there. But you won't regret it as the landscapes are truly breathtaking: white rocky mountains surround Kapari from either end, soft light sand touches turquoise waters, the sacred Delos island is seen from afar. You can dive from cliffs and look at the fish underwater. Please note that nudists sometimes visit this beach.

No big crowds visit Kapari, and it's not very well developed, so you'll have to take care of food, umbrellas and deck chairs beforehand, or visit the Agios Ioannis Beach. You will have to drive about 300 meters to reach the closest hotel.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
