Ornos beach

You can easily walk around this beach barefoot - there are no stones or pebbles. Golden sand, no winds and a lot of underwater plates. The sea here is known for being warm, clear and calm. The descent is smooth, and there's little to no creatures in the sea. Because of this and a lot more Ornos is considered ideal for family trips.
Another distinctive feature of the beach is the colorful surroundings. There's a great view of the bay, pier and tour ships from the shore. You can also check out colorful hills, rocks and white and blue houses. Bright blue sea and clear sky add to the beautiful landscape.
There are always many visitors in Ornos. Families, gastronomical tourists, sunbathing enthusiasts, athletes and other "conservative" tourists can be frequently found here. As for homosexuals and nudists - well, they prefer wilder beaches.
3,5 kilometers separate Ornos from Mykonos. You can get here by bus from the "Fabrika" stop, rent a car or call a taxi. Young people and athletes usually walk to the beach while admiring the landscapes.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
