Part of Megali Ammos is covered in cozy deck chairs and umbrellas. The rest of the beach is free of any infrastructure. Tourists who love calmness, sunbathing and solitude love this place.
The beach is 300 meters long and 50 meters wide. It's surrounded by colorful houses and bright white hotels. No loud parties, merchants or annoying staff can be encountered here. Only the soft sand, the bright blue sky and giant ships that can be seen from afar.
You'll need to take a 20-minute walk from the town center to get to this beach. You can also call a taxi (costs 10$) or rent a car. Megali Ammos is perfect for:
