Beach description
Panormos stretches from north to south in the bay of the same name and is covered by grainy beige sand. It's well-developed in the north: umbrellas and deck chairs, garbage bins and other conveniences are available near the local bar, along with a yacht pier, while the southern part is a wild heaven which nudists occasionally visit. Warm soft sand surrounds the grass, and the calm waters don't disturb the atmosphere. The southern part of the beach also has small reefs with interesting fish, which makes it a good place for snorkeling. Rescuers watch over the beach during Summer.
Panormos' surroundings include various places to stay, from cheap middle-class hotels to luxurious villas. Two restaurants are situated near the beach where you can try fresh Greek cuisine. Panormos provides a great opportunity to rest your body and soul in a calm environment.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
