His life is in full swing from morning until late at night. Against the background of most sparsely populated Greek beaches, it looks quite lively and dynamic.

Beach description

This is a beach with soft golden sand and clear light blue waters. It is one of the most visited Naksos beaches and is actually the continuation of Agios Prokopios Beach. The beach is conditionally divided into two small parts with a haven that is used by fishermans boats as an anchoring site.

The unique feature of this beach are its cedar trees that give shadow to swimmers and people enjoying sunbathing. Tourists who visited these place note that water in the northern part of this beach can be stormy. and a small bay near Agia Anna is well-protected from the wind and very calm, as a rule. It is perfect for comfortable and safe swimming even at strong wind.

There should be no transport problems because buses often (every 10 minutes) go between Agia Anna and beaches of Agios Prokopios, Maragas, Plaka, and Naksos city. The convenient asphalt covering allows access right to sand even if you drive a car or a motorcycle, or ride a bike. There is a parking lot at the beach entry.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

Useful information

  1. It is important that children are not left unattended, since the track in the northern part runs right next to the beach.
  2. If you want to take a walk, head south towards Maragas (or Marangas). There really is something to see and breathe. The fact is that it is in this part the cedar forest meets the sea, and the coniferous clean air, from the habit of many, even creates slight dizziness.
  3. The beach is equipped even for people with disabilities and senior citizens. Also on the beach there are usually many vacationers with children.
