Laguna beach
Laguna is a sparsely populated beach, very popular with beginner surfers. It is located between two other beaches: St. George and Stelida, just 1.5 km from Chora, the capital of the island. You can get to the beach by car, motorcycle or on foot. In high season, public transport runs to the beach. It should be noted that even in the midst of summer, the Laguna beach is not crowded with people.

Beach description
Laguna owes its name to the beach shape resembling the ocean lagoon, and to a large shallow-watered side divided into 2 zones with a reef. The beach is sandy, a bit more than 1.5 km long. For visitors' comfort, the beach has umbrellas and sling chairs, and a car parking lot nearby. Those who wish to make a light meal will find several cafes and restaurants serving local food on the neighboring Saint George Beach.
Due to low water level and north winds creating a good wave Lagoon is unsuitable for swimming, but instead, it opens excellent possibilities for new kitesurfers and windsurfers, and even children, so they can train in jumping and new movements. Admirers of beautiful landscapes will appreciate majestic views opening from Laguna bech to Hora and Aegean Sea.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
