Limenaria beach
Limenaria is a three-kilometer pebble beach adjacent to the city of the same name. It has a developed infrastructure and a good location: near the beach there is a market, grocery and souvenir shops, hotels. In its vicinity there are hospitals, pharmacies, ATMs, gas stations, travel agencies. The conditions for relaxing on the beach are optimal: the weather is always calm here, the waves, as a result, are weak, and the set of depth is smooth.

On the territory of Limenaria there are restaurants with traditional Greek cuisine. There are also cozy bars, offering quick service and a wide range of drinks. Bars, loungers, toilets and other infrastructure are concentrated in the center of Limenaria. On this area of the coast there is a smooth depth increase, small waves and almost calm weather. Here you can safely walk barefoot and rest with children.
On the periphery of the beach there are thin populated areas with zero infrastructure. Camping lovers, who seek peace and beautiful views, chose them. A cape rises on the outskirts of Limenaria, and immediately after it there is a beautiful lagoon. It is ideal for walking, picnics and creating beautiful photos. Also on its territory local nudists rest. In general, the beach is popular among families and respectable youth;
Daily buses from the capital of the region run to the beach. It is also possible to get here by taxi, bus, personal transport.
In the outskirts of the beach there are the following sights:
- "Tents" is the office building of a mining company, around which a modern village was formed. It was built by the Germans in the last century;
- abandoned mine, where iron ore was mined. On its territory excursions are conducted;
- "The old town of Limenaria" - ancient Turkish houses, erected at the beginning of the twentieth century.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
