Makrуammos beach
Located near the capital of the island of Thassos - just 10 km southeast. This place is for those who like to rest comfortably and do not want to feel lonely at the same time. At the same time, romantics will like it here, since not far from the beach there are ruins of marble stone quarries, which, against the backdrop of pristine nature, evoke thoughts of the eternal, as well as philosophical reflections on the impermanence of being.

Beach description
The beach is a coastline with white heavy sand, which creates comfortable conditions for all categories of tourists. It will be convenient and safe for parents with children to rest here - the small children will be busy with their sand construction, leaving parents time to relax and enjoy the sea.
The water is very pure and has a turquoise hue. The beach is ideal for children, because it has a very long and safe entry without sea urchins and rocks. The depth is shallow - those, who wish to swim to their heart's content, will have to overcome not one dozen meters to find a place deeper. There is a cliff on the beach, that is used for jumping.
This is an ecological clean place, the nearest road to which is located at a distance of 2 km. Therefore, there are no sounds of engine motors, spoiling a spa rest in a heavenly spot, and the unpleasant smell of exhaust gases. You will find magically delicious air with mixture of sea salt and a pine forest.
The nearest town to the beach is Limenas. It is about 2 km from it to the beach. They can be overcomed on foot or by car, but even if you go by transport, you still have to overcome some part of the road on foot.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
