Livadi beach
Livadi Beach is located in the east of Thasos. It is located in a picturesque bay, covered with bright golden sand and snow-white pebbles. It is surrounded by trees, rocks and flat hills with exotic plants. Livadi is notable for its small size, calm weather and almost complete absence of waves. There are no taverns, showers or changing rooms on the beach. At the disposal of vacationers there are only a few free sunbeds.

This place is famous for its bright blue water, thin population and beautiful views. People come here to rest with a tent, enjoy the wildlife, listen to the sound of waves and birdsong. The main audience of the beach is families and youth, who have arrived by their own cars.
The beach is characterized by a smooth depth increase and perfectly clear water. Here it is possible and necessary to rest with the children. Important to note: sharp rocks are found on the sea bottom. Safety shoes are recommended to prevent foot injuries. Pay attention to: near Livadi there are many places for parking a car, as well as beautiful forests.
The distance between the beach and the island's capital is 38 km. 12 km from Livadi there is the village of Potos. It is possible to get here only by personal transport or taxi.
Near the beach there is the most beautiful temple of the island - the monastery of the Archangel Michael.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
