If facing the sea, the beach is to the left of Limenaria pier, the second largest city on the island after Thassos.
It is a wide sandy strip, fenced on both sides by a cape. Despite the fact, that the beach itself is sandy, the entry into the sea is rocky and slippery. The exception is the edge of the beach, closest to Limenaria - this is where most vacationers stop.
On the same side of the cliff there is a hole, through which, if bent double, it is possible to get into a secluded bay. From there it is possible to swim to a deserted island and enjoy the views of the coast from the sea. Adventure lovers, who swim well, should definitely take this route.
Entry into the sea will not suit the parents of small children and those who swim poorly. It is quite steep and is a mixture of rocks and sand. Additional difficulties are created by the slippery surface of the stone plateau, on which the beach itself is located.
For a safe entry into the sea, two paths of shingle bags are equipped. But despite this, every going out to the sea with the children turns into a test. Bring along special shoes as You can still expect a “surprise” at the bottom in the form of prickly sea urchins. And get ready, that in the place, where the rocks end, the depth sharply begins.
There are never many people here. That is why this place is even more attractive and romantic. This is a part of nature, where only you and nature exist.
It is possible to get here on foot from Limenaria or by car.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

Despite not being crowded, this beach is well-equipped, not wild, there is even parking and a cafe where you can eat deliciously and densely. Not only sandwiches with drinks are sold, but also hot dishes.
