Corona Del Mar beach
Corona Del Mar Beach is the beautiful beach for family recreation located in the near vicinity of Newport Beach city. The sandy coast with a length of about 1 km is surrounded by rocks and a stone pier, which forms the entrance to the city harbor. A significant area of shallow water and a low-sloped entry to the ocean allow you to rest here with children. But nice waves and an interesting underwater world in the area also attract surfers and divers. Thus, in season on this beach it is always very crowded.

Beach description
The name of the beach translates as “Crown of the Sea”, which ideally corresponds to its glory as one of the best places to surf. Conditions for this sport are so good that it was here that the first pacific coast championship in this water sport was held. Volleyball courts are located In the southern part of the beach. The western outskirts is protected by a pier, thus it is the safest for swimming.
The coast is rather long, so here you can find relatively secluded places, especially near rocky areas. Colorful small houses on hills rise above the beach that give the coast a particularly fabulous look, and there is a viewing point from where you can enjoy sunsets over the ocean. The area is so picturesque that its landscapes make frequent appearances in films.
When is the best time to go?
To lay off on the beaches of the mainland, it is best to come in the summer, when a sufficiently warm temperature is settled for swimming. Places like Florida or the Hawaiian Islands are comfortable all year round.
