Laguna beach

Laguna Beach is located in a small tourist town and annually greets about 3 million tourists, having its own population of just over 20 thousand. This is due to a favorable geographical position: proximity to Los Angeles and at the same time to San Diego, and the beautiful long coastline with many small comfortable beaches, the opportunity to test yourself in surfing, diving.

Beach description

In a comfortable California resort, anyone will find rest by the personal preference: from bustling and noisy pathos of the central beach to secluded and deserted little bays, where steps hidden between houses lead. The coast delights divers and snorkelers with algae and corals. Colorful fish dodge here, moray eels and white sharks appear. Surfers get a heavy dose of adrenaline, falling into a rapid high wave that involves athletes like a meat grinder.

Parking on Laguna Beach is a little difficult, so vacationers leave their cars at some distance, and along the coastline they move to the desired beach by a free bus, which comes here from morning until late evening.

Lagoon Beach is enclosed by Crystal Cove from the north. The place is popular among divers, hiking and picnic lovers. Leaving your car in a paid parking, you can lie on sand near the shore.

A narrow path between houses leads to Crescent Bay. Here, like everywhere, there are rescuers on the tower, but you will not find a toilet or changing cabins.

Small steps lead to the same, without amenities, but very picturesque and “photogenic” Shaws Cove beach.

Divers Cove will be liked by those who love the wildlife, the lack of benefits of civilization. During periods of absence of tourists, the beach can be compared to some deserted Caribbean island.

Heisler Park is a combination of both the beach and the park area with equipped tables just above the water. All amenities for tourists are here.

Central Laguna Beach requires founds, always noisy and well equipped.

  • Tourists go to a shower, toilet.
  • Volley-ball, tennis and basketball sites are here.
  • Wooden promenade.
  • Children have fun on slides. Here is quite shallow and safe for kids.
  • Adults take benches, use picnic tables.
  • There is a tidal pool in the northern part.
  • It is forbidden to take stones, shells from the shore, fishing is not allowed.
  • The surf is sometimes quite dangerous, so surfing is not practiced in the summer months.
  • Around there are the beauty, shops and places to eat.

A little south, if tourists go down to the shore along steps between houses, they reach Victoria Beach, which is decorated with the tall tower in the form of a lighthouse. Inside it is a staircase along which the former owner easily descended from the precipitous coast to the sea. There are also no amenities on this small land stretch, but very beautiful.

In the very south of Laguna Beach there are a couple of comfortable beaches with steps that simultaneously serve as a sports equipment and a kind of protection against the high amount of visitors.

When is the best time to go?

To lay off on the beaches of the mainland, it is best to come in the summer, when a sufficiently warm temperature is settled for swimming. Places like Florida or the Hawaiian Islands are comfortable all year round.
