Alogomandra beach

Alogomandra (Alogomandra, the second name is the beach of Agios Konstantinos) is a small romantic beach located on the island of Milos, near the fishing village of Agios Konstantinos. To get to it, you need to take a bus or car to the village, and then walk to the beach.

Beach description

Alogomandra is located in a small cozy bay and is a long, narrow coast band covered with golden fine sand. Its main feature is that the beach zone is surrounded with large rock formations protruding into the sea and visually resembling a cave or a grotto. The same rocks create the natural shadow, making the beach rest more comfortable. The sea in the area of Alogomandra is clear, transparent, with soft tide, slightly sloping entry, and sand bottom which makes is convenient for swimming with kids. The beach is isolated and desert, it is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, taking sun baths, and relaxation. Since Alogomandra has no beach infrastructure, tourists need to take their own food and water, and the beach equipment.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
