Mytakas beach

Mytakas is a sparsely populated, picturesque beach which offers a relaxing and relaxed holiday on the Aegean coast, away from the noisy crowd. The beach is located in the fishing village of Mitaka, between Sarakiniko and Pahena. It is most convenient to reach it by land by car or motorcycle, by sea by boat.

Beach description

The beach is spacious, covered with white fine sand, bordering the small rocks on one side. Trees growing on its territory here and there bring pleasant shadow.. The sea in the bay is transparent, with smooth sand bottom. Due to seasonal winds, sea can be lumpy in summer season, with high waves. For the visitors' comfort, the beach zone of Mitakas is equipped with sling chairs and umbrellas, there area parking lot and a cafe nearby, where you can make a light local meal.

Beach visitors can take sun baths and swim, walk along the beach, enjoy the idyllic sea views and the air of traditional Greek village.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
