Boca Chica beach
Boca Chica Beach is one of the most famous and most visited beaches in the vicinity of the capital of the Dominican Republic (about 30 km from it). Only 20 minutes away - and you can find yourself in this paradise in the Gulf of San Andres in the south of the country, which has long been chosen by locals for relaxation.

Beach description
The total length of the beach is about 1.6 km. The sandy coast with fine powdery white sand rests right here on the beach bars. The sea near the shore is shallow, and the entry into the clear azure waters is gentle. About 400 m from the coast, a coral reef is located in a semicircle, creating a kind of pool in which high waves do not form. The seabed is covered with fine sand as pleasant to the touch as on the shore. The coast is controlled by rescuers (there is a rescue tower on the shore), which, combined with such amazing conditions, gives the beach the fame of an ideal place for families.
Diving is one of the best activities available on Boca Chica, given the excellent natural conditions for this. There are also many fishing and pleasure boats on the coast, and you can order a boat trip or fishing trip. It also hosts annual sailing competitions. Near the beach you can visit the mangrove grove - a paradise for birdwatching.
When is it better to go?
In summer, tropical rains and typhoons – are frequent guests in the Dominican Republic. Therefore, it is better to go there in winter, from November to March, when the air warms up to a comfortable 24-30 degrees, and the weather is dried up.
