Macao Beach is located in the eastern Dominican region of the province of La Altagracia. It does not feel the flow of vacationers, since it does not have its own coral reef. Popular place for surfers who like to surf sandy spaces on buggies or on horseback.

Macau is a lot of kilometers of white sand on a contrasting blue shore, an oasis of calm surrounded by coconut trees, an ideal place to enjoy the virgin nature, to forget about the hardships of civilized life.
Macao Beach can be divided into three parts:
- From the side where the water is quieter and there are many fishing boats, tourists bathe, recline under the sun or in the shade of trees, observe the unhurried work of the fishermen. A great place for vacationers with children or those who want to drink cold beer in solitude and have a bite to cook right there. The maximum depth at the coast is 1.5 m.
- The middle of the crescent-curved beach is dedicated to a surf school. Here people also ride horses, food and drinks are sold, someone takes a sun bath, stretched out in a sun lounger.
- The left end of the coast is an ideal platform for long walks. The waves in this area are more active, so self-confident surfers rush to this part of the beach.
Macao Beach easily absorbs the hubbub of tourists who come here by buses, rumble through the dunes of the buggy, and other sounds of the weekend. The feeling of wild relaxation is supported by the absence of hotels facing the sea. There are no closed areas, the entire coast is at the disposal of vacationers, the feeling of the crowd is not haunting.
The territory is taken under the protection of UNESCO as one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean. Cleanliness is carefully monitored. The central part is the official swimming area where lifeguards work.

Tourists when visiting the beach must take into account the weather forecast, there are days with strong waves of water, wind, dangerous swell.
When is it better to go?
In summer, tropical rains and typhoons – are frequent guests in the Dominican Republic. Therefore, it is better to go there in winter, from November to March, when the air warms up to a comfortable 24-30 degrees, and the weather is dried up.

On Macao Beach, hotel construction is prohibited. In order not to spoil the beauty of the local landscape, the infrastructure is located behind mangroves. Vacationers, for the most part, come in tourist groups to spend the day surrounded by family and beautiful nature. The lively Punta Cana, where discos and nightclubs are noisy, is about 30 km away. There are also basic quality accommodation offers. Near Macao Beach, you can only find a roof over your head in a hostel or guest house with fairly modest conditions.

The hotel has a well-equipped water park, a mini-bar is replenished daily, there is animation. Many excursions are organized. On the territory of the hotel there are shops, not far from the exit there is a small market.
At the resort, both local and American currency are in use. Shopping in shopping centers is rightly reproached for the high cost, but many tourists like to go there because of the opportunity to sit in branded cafes. A good selection of souvenirs is offered by El Cortesito Flea Market, there are many interesting shops near this market.
If the hotel accommodation includes 3 meals a day, then the desire to go eat somewhere else may not arise. At hotels, as a rule, there is excellent and diverse cuisine. If you want to try national food, you should order san kocho for the first, la bandera, meat in combination with rice, beans and bananas, for the second. Goat meat is included in many national dishes. Adults will enjoy the famous Dominican rum under the brands of Bermudez, Barcelo or Brugal. Children are most often served milkshakes based on a variety of fresh juices.

- For organized tourists, transfer to the hotel from Punta Cana Airport is usually included. In its absence, the services of a car or taxi rental are used.
