Lanza Del Norte beach
Located in the province of Samana on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, eighteen kilometers east of the popular resort of Las Terrenas. It is quite difficult to get to it - 2 kilometers from the nearest village of El Limon along a bumpy unpaved road. But travelers who are not afraid of these difficulties will be fully rewarded with the amazing beauty of the beach and its intimacy.

Beach description
Lanza del Norte is located in a small cozy bay surrounded by giant coconut palms and protected on both sides by rocky capes. Previously, these secluded places, hidden in the dense jungle, were used by sea robbers for their campsites, and several years ago they filmed outdoor scenes for the legendary Pirates of the Caribbean.
The coast is covered with silky white sand, the sea is calm and transparent, with a delightful turquoise color. There are several pavilions on the beach where you can have a snack, refresh yourself with drinks, rent umbrellas and deck chairs. There are toilets and taps with fresh water as well.
Next to Lanza del Norte, Las Canas beach is located, no less picturesque and secluded. It is crossed by a river, which forms a delightful freshwater lagoon, surrounded by dense thickets of mangrove trees.
When is it better to go?
In summer, tropical rains and typhoons – are frequent guests in the Dominican Republic. Therefore, it is better to go there in winter, from November to March, when the air warms up to a comfortable 24-30 degrees, and the weather is dried up.
