Cosón beach
Located in the province of Samana on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic near the popular resort of Las Terrenas. One of the three best beaches in the country marked with the Blue Flag.

Beach description
A kilometer-long coastline is covered with delicate golden sand and surrounded by giant palm trees. The sea is crystal clear, transparent, emerald-turquoise shade. An ideal place for both calm beach relaxation and water sports. Low rhythmic waves will suit even beginners, for whom a windsurfing and kitesurfing school is organized. Here you can rent longboards, bodyboards, kayaks and catamarans.
The beach is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, there are toilets, showers and changing cabins. Beach bars and eateries are organized in the shade of palm trees, where you can relax on the veranda with the sea view and sample local cuisine. The most popular among them is the restaurant Luis, which is famous for its delicate lobsters, cooked according to an old traditional recipe.
In the vicinity of the beach there are a variety of villas and hotels, most of which meet the highest European criteria. In addition to the standard set of services, guests are offered hammocks in the shade of palm trees, comfortable beach beds with canopy, massage and delivery of drinks by waiters.
When is it better to go?
In summer, tropical rains and typhoons – are frequent guests in the Dominican Republic. Therefore, it is better to go there in winter, from November to March, when the air warms up to a comfortable 24-30 degrees, and the weather is dried up.
