From May to August, rare sea turtles lay eggs on the edge of a beach called Kaminia, and if you are lucky, you might even watch tiny turtles hatch. Consequently, there are no noisy water attractions, loud music, or other typical attributes of beach recreation in this tranquil spot. Tourists should also bring their own umbrellas and beach mats. A small snack bar on the beach offers light refreshments and drinks to quench your thirst, while the nearby shops and taverns are located in the village of Katelios, just a ten-minute walk away.
A convenient highway leads directly to the beach, complemented by free parking. Therefore, to secure a convenient spot for your car, especially on weekends, it is advisable to arrive early.
The area surrounding the beach is as picturesque as the beach itself, allowing visitors to stroll through the surrounding hills blanketed with dense greenery and admire the breathtaking views they offer.
