Beach description
Avdira beach is a wide sandy with a developed infrastructure. Its cleanliness is regularly monitored by local services. The descent into the water is gentle, the bottom itself is sandy, the sand is small and light, it is pleasant to walk barefoot. There is shallow water on the shore, perfect for young children and those who are just learning to swim.
Well-developed infrastructure is a strong suit of Avdira. Here you can find straw umbrellas, set in several rows, sun loungers, showers and spacious dressing cabins. Young people love the beach bar, and in Lefkippus there is always a place to spend the night. Avdira is a great place to relax and catch the sun while swimming in the afternoon and enjoy the amazing sunsets of the Aegean Sea in the evening.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
