Maggana beach
If you want to see a flat horizon line from your beach that clearly outlines the sky from the surface of the water, and nothing else - you have to go to Maggan! As they say, there is nothing superfluous - only golden sand, sea blue, and sky blue. There are also pointed peaks of African-style sun parasols, and several beach bars. Why is it not exotic for those who are tired of the crowded beaches of Eastern Macedonia?

Beach description
The beach is an open, unfenced (banks, rocks, hills), quite a large part of the sandy beach. In general, sand here is a mixture- either with a small pebbles or with fragments of shells. But this is mainly near the beach - a little further you can find areas with clean sand.
Because of the fact that the beach is not laying in the bay, but on an open, level beach, it is well blown by winds. Therefore, stable moderate waves are observed on the sea surface. For that surfer prefers the Maggana beach.
The entrance to the water is gentle, the depth does not start for a long time. Basically, if the child has inflatable armlets, a circle and a vest, they can be released into the water without adults. There are no strong waves on the shore that could frighten or tighten it in the sea. Therefore, one can conclude that Maggan is suitable for family holidays. But among rest people, a greater percentage of young people still do. Since the beach is far from the major cities and popular resorts, it is not crowded, but nevertheless it is never deserted.
The beach distinguishes itself by comparative purity. The local bar monitors its cleanness, but after the storm, algae, sticks, small stones are thrown ashore. If you visit this beach right after the storm, be ready for it.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

Infrastructure
The infrastructure of the beach is relatively developed. There is a place where you can park your car (the local bar was worried about this), as well as where to have a drink and a snack.
The beach is equipped with sun loungers and parasols, between which wooden paths are laid for easy walking. You can use them for free.
The beach bar offers a variety of drinks, but traditionally the beer and mojito are most in demand on the beach. You can also buy light snacks here. There is no restaurant or tavern on the territory of Magganos Beach.
Many vacationers here play rackets and tennis, fortunately, there is more than enough space for this. Close to the beach you can often see motor boats that are rented to tourists for water excursions.
There are no big hotels close to the beach. In the nearest villages, rooms are rented in private pensions, villas and guest houses. These include, in particular, Villa Erasmia, which is closest to Maggan.

Visitors to the beach note that there always plays music from the speakers of the local bar. Moreover, the repertoire is selected rather inconsistently - here you can hear both popular Greek music, and reggae, and even world classics of the 80s. Therefore, if you want a calm, quiet beach, Maggan is unlikely to suit you... Or you have to go to its most remote corners.
There is no natural shadow on the beach, since the coastal vegetation is rather sparse and distant from the coast. Therefore, either stock up well with sunblock cream, or spend most of the time under an umbrella - in the summer months the sun is especially burning here.
