Fanari beach
On the coast of the Thracian Sea, in the Gulf of Lagos, in the eponymous coastal settlement, there is Fanari Beach - one of the most popular sea resorts in Thrace. Despite its wide popularity and profit of tourists every summer, the village is quiet and calm, because only about 500 people live in Fanari.

Beach description
The narrow beach is covered with fine sand, agreeable to the touch. Fine pebbles can be found everywhere, and it's easy to walk on it. The water entry is smooth, and there is shallow water by the edge of the coast, so parents of small kids may not worry for their children. Water is famous as the most clean and transparent on the Aegean coast. The beach is situated near the port, and boats often moor here. It's always calm and quiet here, contrary to the neighboring popular Arogi beach (naturally continued by Fanari).
It is not an easy task to find luxury hotels in the neighborhood but there are many medium-budget hotels and hostels in the city and close to the beach, as well as places to have a meal. Fanari is equipped with sling chairs, umbrellas, changing cabins and trash bins. Camping site is arranged here sometimes. Vacation on Fanari is, in the first turn, recommended to tourists with children and elderly couples.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
