Argassi beach

Argassi Beach is located on the southeast coast of Zakynthos on the Vasilikos Peninsula and adjoins the town of the same name. It has been and remains one of the most popular beaches on the island. The proximity to the infrastructure, clear water, sand cover, the availability of necessary amenities - all this makes a vacation on Argassi Beach unforgettable.

Beach description

Reaching this tourist trap of Zakynthos is very easy: a federal highway goes across Argassi, and the nearby Dionisios Solomos International Airport makes it even more convenient. Despite its popularity, Argassi rarely gets crowded.

The Argassi Beach is a long strip of sand and occasional pebbles that stretches over the entire shoreline of the town. Boulders in the water and on the beach itself divide it into several zones. The sea here is blue and clear and the sea bottom is clean and safe for young children.

As noted before, the beach is famous for its infrastructure. Numerous hotels, restaurants, cafes, taverns and shops of various price ranges are located along the shoreline. The beach itself is equipped with all sorts of conveniences, like deck chairs, umbrellas, changing rooms and showers. A water sports school is situated in the middle of the beach. Argassi is one of those places that is perfect for anyone and everyone: from the adventurous youth to families who want a more serene and comfortable vacation.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
