City beach stretches along the entire city line and wide beach line covered with soft golden sand. On the North side beach is bordered by a picturesque harbor and on the South rests on a huge fishing pier, behind which begins the beach of Kure.
Around the perimeter laid boardwalks and paths, beach is equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds and canopies, there are showers and dressing rooms. Safety is monitored by beach inspectors from special towers, they also give signals about tides and strong currents and always ready to help in unforeseen situations.
On Carolina Beach can comfortably relax as families with young children and noisy youth companies. There are inflatable trampolines and slides for children on beach and on the waterfront organized a town with all children of entertainment, attractions and animation. Adults can play beach volleyball or baseball, water rides, surfing or sap- boarding, skydiving or paragliding.
Especially popular on Carolina Beach is fishing, fishing championships are held here. Because for this purpose it is not necessary to make any serious efforts-it is enough to rent fishing tackles and to go to pier where gluttonous gulls and pelicans already wait for fishermen. Ocean in beach area is relatively shallow, warm and safe. Bottom is gently, enterence to the water gradually. As well as on all Atlantic coast, during low tide on sand there are sea stars, crabs and various mollusks which are willingly collected both adults and children.
When is the best time to go?
To lay off on the beaches of the mainland, it is best to come in the summer, when a sufficiently warm temperature is settled for swimming. Places like Florida or the Hawaiian Islands are comfortable all year round.
