Driftwood beach
Driftwood Beach is within walking distance east of the large fishing pier in the north of Jekyll Island. It is more suitable for aesthetic pleasure rather than swimming. The thing is, the part of the island on which the beach is located is gradually 'settling', because of this part of the trees is in the water. But these are not just trees – they are like driftwood preserved by time or by the hot sun which create a surreal landscape and an original background for a photo.

Beach description
Driftwood Beach is one of America's top 10 most romantic beaches. Couples in love who want an extraordinary wedding photo shoot and vivid emotions on the day of the wedding come here. This beach is also famous for the fact that at certain times you can watch dolphins swimming here.
Keep in mind that you must study the tide calendar before going to Driftwood Beach. Conditions for swimming are not very good here: strong winds, sharp stones in the water, numerous algae ... A rare person can be seen in the water splashing along the shore of Driftwood Beach. Be sure to bring rubber shoes with you, since not only pitfalls can be dangerous, but also dry tree branches.
When is the best time to go?
To lay off on the beaches of the mainland, it is best to come in the summer, when a sufficiently warm temperature is settled for swimming. Places like Florida or the Hawaiian Islands are comfortable all year round.
