Ehukai beach
Despite the chic opportunities for a beach holiday, the place is better known as a winter area for surfing. "Pipe", "sea spray", "Banzai" – the beach is known by many names, but by widespread hearing it is known as the "Banzai pipeline." He got this name by analogy with the dangerous moat that he dug for the pipeline, since then the name and risky sport have been firmly entrenched in Ehukai Beach.

The beach is located in the natural park on Oahu, more precisely in its northern part. This is a small public beach near Sunset Beach School. On the highway side, it is not very noticeable, there are no large-scale identification marks, so if you move on a rental car, you need to carefully look at the signs and not miss the parking lot. You can get there by bus, go down a little, and the beach will open at a glance.
In the winter months, the water here can hardly be called calm, which attracts fans of extreme sports and surfing to the beach. Strong waves, a sharp change of wind and a variable current – these terms more characterize the beach in winter. Such weather usually lasts from mid-October to April. Then the place attracts many fans of this sport, because in addition to athletes, the sight is interesting to a crowd of onlookers and photographers seeking to find a successful shot.
In summer, the beach is more like a lake: it is a calm expanse of water, white sand and a shady picnic area along the coastline. A great place for families, you can build sand castles and teach children how to swim. And you can comfortably sit in the sun, sunbathe or play beach games: kite flying, volleyball and others.
When is the best time to go?
To lay off on the beaches of the mainland, it is best to come in the summer, when a sufficiently warm temperature is settled for swimming. Places like Florida or the Hawaiian Islands are comfortable all year round.

Because of the local nature of the ocean, lifeguards are constantly on duty at the beach, but only in the daytime, until 17:30. Tourists also have:

The most dangerous waves with a height of more than 9 meters can be caught in January – February, at the same time international competitions among surfers are held on the beach. Ehukai Beach has something to do at any time of the year: this is fishing, swimming with the calm state of the sea, and water activities (boat trips, kayaking, surfing). In addition to the weather, algae, which leave behind an unpleasant burning sensation throughout the body, can overshadow the summer vacation. But this does not mean that you should not visit this wonderful beach, because jellyfish are a rare phenomenon, and rescuers will always warn of a possible danger.
