Ho’okipa beach
The beach is located in the northern part of the Hawaiian island Maui and is the coastal area of Ho'okipa Beach Park. This is one of the best beaches for windsurfers. Professional athletes come here during winter, when the waves reach as high as 10 meters. Summer is the best season for beginners, as the waves are lower and more stable and the water is very warm. International surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing competitions are often held on Ho'okipa.

Beach description
The beach is quite stretched but not very wide and is covered in white sand. Piles of large boulders, where giant sea turtles like to sunbathe, are located on the edges of the beach. Volunteers guarantee their safety and don't let them get too close to reptiles.
Tourists are also watched by rescue workers who guarantee safety from the special towers. Due to the high waves, the beach isn't very suitable for swimming, especially for very young children, but one can practice in improvised natural pools formed by the coastal reefs during summer.
The beach is equipped with toilets and showers, there's a large parking lot and several small cafes and snack bars. A paved road that leads to the Hana highway lies nearby.
When is the best time to go?
To lay off on the beaches of the mainland, it is best to come in the summer, when a sufficiently warm temperature is settled for swimming. Places like Florida or the Hawaiian Islands are comfortable all year round.
