Sunset beach
What do most people associate the 50th state of the USA with? The sun, the ocean, big waves, vivid vegetation and surfing: all of these we saw quite often in a movie or on a postcard. And if this what you desire to see, especially being a pro in surfing, then Sunset Beach, located on one of the most developed islands Oahu, will stay in your memory forever.

Beach description
This beach is not so big: its length a bit more than 3 km, covered with clean and fine sand. Along the shore the palms and other green trees spread, in their shadows you can hide during the heat: the rent of sun lounges and umbrellas is a rare thing here, because they are often blown off with the wind. Depending on the time of the day the waters might be transparent, red or amazing azure colour, which lures us from photos. For those who do not swim well or only have basic skills of surfing, this place can be dangerous: the slope is steep, there are many corals on the sea floor, that are easy to get hurt with, and there are strong underwater currents near the shore. Many people come here in the winter season when waves of the Pacific Ocean to reach a height of nine meters. It is high time for surfers, the properly trained lifeguards monitor their safety. But one should be careful in the summer period too: the tides might be so strong that wash away the bike paths and footpaths along the shore.
When is the best time to go?
To lay off on the beaches of the mainland, it is best to come in the summer, when a sufficiently warm temperature is settled for swimming. Places like Florida or the Hawaiian Islands are comfortable all year round.

In the season you can rent the surfing equipment and take a couple of lessons. No need to worry about the basic conveniences too: there are toilets, showers and changing cabins on Sunset Beach. You can get here by car (there are a highway and a parking area near) or by bus from the nearest town.

Or you can feast your eyes on beautiful fauna of the Pacific Ocean, using diving equipment.
