Kamakahonu beach
Located on the west coast of the Big Island of Hawaii and is a tiny cozy bay in the heart of the Kailua-Kona resort. The beach is also called baby, as it is reliably protected from waves and powerful currents and covered with soft snow-white sand. The entrance to the water is smooth and safe, the bottom is sandy and comfortable.

You can rent a canoe, catamaran or boat with a transparent bottom on the beach to enjoy the underwater world, the picturesque surroundings and the ships that enter the bay. The best places for snorkeling and diving are in the northern part of the bay, as far as possible from the port. Here you can find rental centers for the necessary equipment, if desired, experienced instructors will accompany beginners during the dive.
The beach is equipped with all necessary infrastructure, there are toilets, showers, lounges and sunshades. Advice – given its popularity, it’s worth arriving early to successfully park your car and have time to occupy a comfortable place.
When is the best time to go?
To lay off on the beaches of the mainland, it is best to come in the summer, when a sufficiently warm temperature is settled for swimming. Places like Florida or the Hawaiian Islands are comfortable all year round.
