Epanomi beach
Epanomi Beach is a developed resort located south of Thessaloniki, one of the most popular and crowded in the summer. Cozy thermal bay is connected by bus with Thessaloniki, Halkidiki, famous for fine-grained sand, clear water, which is marked with the Blue Flag.

Beach description
The beach line stretches for 40 km and attracts tourists with the developed infrastructure, excellent ecological parameters. This place is rather crowded in summer due to tourists who stay in comfortable hotels both for long time and for one day. The locals move to summer apartments, cottage houses situated in Potamos village.

The right side of Thermaic Gulf is quiet and calm. On the left, where the water is deeper and the winds are stronger, the beach was selected by surfers and kitesurfers. Thos who wish to explore the local sight, a ship that sunk 40 years ago, will need special preparation.
Epanomi is not only the beach but also 550 ha of space where rare migrating birds, many unique species of flora and fauna live on water and in swamps.
Due to ecosystem that is beneficial for wine-growing, the land is famous for its vineyards and caves. You can find super fresh fish here as well.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
