Fava beach
Fava is a long sandy and pebble beach located near the village of Vourvourou. The beach is not suitable for families because of the large number of stones and a sharp depth set. Here couples in love relax, as well as people seeking peace and wildlife.

Beach description
Fava has the following advantages:
- thin population - there is always free space here. In remote areas of the beach there are almost no people;
- picturesque landscapes - on the coast and in the middle of the sea there are many large cliffs. This place is famous for a large number of trees, bright blue water, high hills, surrounded by greenery;
- cleanliness - there is completely no garbage, and the sea is crystal clear.
The flip side of the coin is the almost complete lack of infrastructure on Fava territory there is only parking lot. All the other blessings of civilization should be brought along.
It is possible to get to the beach only by private car, following the following route:
- turn from the Sithonia main highway onto the asphalt road, leading to Vourvourou;
- head east direction. A few km after Karidi Beach you will see a large parking;
- park your car there and find the “NO CAMPING” sign. Next to it there is a path, that will lead you to Fava.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
