Nea Kallikratia beach
Nea Kallikratia Beach is located 30 km from Thessaloniki. The surface of the beach is covered with soft and golden sand. Occasionally, stones and shells come across in it. Bright sun reigns here, there is calm weather and atmosphere.

Beach description
Crowded buses from the capital of the region arrive here daily. The reason for the stir is simple - this place has the following advantages:
- soft and golden beach, whose beauty is confirmed by the "Blue Flag" Award;
- crystal clear, warm and shallow sea, into which children can be let off without fear;
- a large number of loungers, umbrellas, showers and places for changing clothes;
- beautiful landscapes by the sea.
On the beach there are two bars, a cafe and a restaurant. There is a volleyball pitch, an area for "wild tourists", a camping center and a pretty river. The length of Nea Kallikratia exceeds 3 km, and its width reaches 250 meters.
There is a large marina in the southern part of Nea Kallikratia, where fishing boats, private liners and tourist ships moor.
In addition to the bus, the beach is reached by personal transport and taxi. It is also possible to catch a passing car here with BlaBlaCar or another similar service.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
