Sarti beach
Sarti is a three-kilometer beach located next to the village of the same name. From the beach there is a beautiful view of Mount Athos and the protected area. The whole territory of Sarti is covered with soft and pleasant to the touch sand. There are several shops, as well as street vendors.

Sarti has the following features:
- strong waves and windy weather (ideal conditions for surfing);
- a large number of taverns, bars and restaurants;
- good infrastructure - there are toilets, changing rooms, sunbeds and umbrellas here;
- perfectly clean beach (it is marked with the "Blue Flag") and the crystal sea;
- a smooth depth increase (it is possible safely to let children go into the water).
The beach is divided into two areas: wild and tourist. The first is distinguished by a small number of tourists, a quiet and calm atmosphere, a minimum level of infrastructure. On the second territory there are sunbeds, bars, toilets and other blessings of civilization.
In the village of Sarti there is a large supermarket, a tourist port (excursions and boat trips are booked here), a huge number of hotels and catering establishments. It is possible to get here by bus from Thessaloniki (it runs 3 times a day), as well as by personal transport and taxi.
Useful information: the softest and finest sand is located in the southern part of the beach. At the northern end of Sarti there is a small bay, framed by ricks and cliffs.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
