Posidi beach
Possidi is a large beach in Central Macedonia. The beach is adjacent to the village of the same name. There are more than a dozen hotels, a jewelry and butcher's shop, one of the best pizzerias in northern Greece. Also, the village stands out for its beautiful architecture and vibrant sights. Not far from it are the ruins of the temple of Poseidon and an old lighthouse named after the sea god.

Posidi has the following advantages:
- the ability to set a tent at a local campsite;
- a large number of sunbeds, toilets, showers, lifeguard towers and changing rooms;
- plenty of free space at any time of the year;
- three taverns near the coast and over a dozen establishments in its outskirts.
The surface of the Possidi is covered with stone and shingle. For comfortable movement along the coast you slippers with a protective sole will be necessary. On the other hand, there are ideal conditions for sunbathing and a soft sea bottom here.
The beach attracts a wide contingent of people. Including students, merried couples, athletes, party animals, fans of wild rest and single tourists. It is noisy here during the day and evening.
The city is located 100 km from the city of Thessaloniki and 12 km from the village of Kassandria. It is possible to get here by bus or by personal transport.
When is it better to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
