Neoi Epivates beach
Neoi Epivates is a cosmopolitan beach near Thessaloniki (half an hour by bus) in a small town of the same name. Fine sand is washed by the cleanest shallow waters. In the summer it is noisy and fun here, tourists sunbathe, swim. In winter, it's nice to walk along the two-kilometer embankment to neighboring Perea.

Beach description
Equipped sites with umbrellas and deck chairs are changed with free areas where small companies and lonely tourists enjoy staying. But they have to take their own umbrella or hat with sun protection cream. Even in northern Greece, one should hide from the scorching sun. Water is shallow near the beach. Those who enjoy diving can come farther and deeper.
Advantages of Neoi Epivates:
- Wonderful ecology.
- The presence of the necessary beach infrastructure.
- Access for people with special needs.
- The pier with catamarans, boats, and yachts that you can rent.
- Attentive guards on the tower.
- At sunset, you can see the shining lights of Thessaloniki.
- Taverns and cafes serve right on the beach.
Outdoor enthusiasts occupy the road behind the beach with their bicycles, somebody is walking slowly, and somebody is drinking delicious Mandovani in cafes located a bit farther.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
