Glarokavos beach
Glarokavos is a long sandy beach located in a bay with a pine forest. It is distinguished by a bright blue sea, soft and snow-white sand, a large number of trees.

The western and eastern parts of the beach are equipped with sunbeds, toilets, umbrellas and changing rooms. On their territory there are cozy bars with a wide range of drinks. The central area of Glarokavos represents a "wild place". Here people enjoy peace, swim and sunbathe.
This beach is popular with couples, campers, diving lovers, swimmers, youth and other populations. Nevertheless, relatively few people rest on its territory.
Near Glarokavos there is a diving school, several hotels, dense and picturesque forests. The distance between the beach and Thessaloniki is 114 km. It is possible to get here by car or taxi.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
