Lagomandra beach
Lagomander is a sandy beach on the shores of the Aegean. The sea is mostly calm. Strong winds and powerful waves are a rarity. Local air deserves special attention - it is saturated with pine freshness.

Beach description
Lagomander has the following features:
- crystal clear and very warm water;
- fine and soft sand, the complete absence of sea urchins and sharp rocks;
- pine forest is near the beach. Some trees grow near the coast;
- a relatively sloping entry into the water (but there are also areas with a sharp depth difference);
- ideal conditions for snorkelling and diving.
Lagomandra is characterized by a developed infrastructure. There are many hotels, bars, taverns, sunbeds, toilets and changing rooms here. Vacationers are offered sea trips, water sports, scooter, catamaran and boat rental. Near the beach there is a diving center, where it is possible to rent equipment and hire an instructor. Both adults and children are allowed to dive (from 10 years old).
The beach consists of 2 parts:
- touristic - there are a lot of people, developed infrastructure and the most comfortable entry into the sea;
- wild - a quiet and peaceful place where relax from the bustle and enjoy nature.
The beach is located 13 km from the village of Nikiti and about 100 km from the capital of the region. Buses from city of Thessaloniki come here twice a day.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
