Agioi Saranta beach

Agioi Saranta impresses with incredibly clear sea waters, which have azure hues near the shore, and as the depth increases, they acquire a more saturated dark blue color. The long shoreline in the picturesque bay of the beach is covered with very clean fine-grained (as if it was flour) white sand, but sometimes there are also small pebbles, and in the water – even large stones.

In some places, the coastal cliffs (the most impressive one rises in the sea on the southern periphery) and a pile of stone slabs and boulders give the beach a truly fantastic view. The central part of the shoreline with wide area of shallow waters is best suited for recreation with small children. But you should keep in mind that sometimes there are strong waves.

There's a small beach bar on the periphery. When you buy drinks in it, you can get a comfortable deck chair as a bonus. Agioi Saranta Beach is incredibly beautiful and does not remain unnoticed by tourists. There's always a lot of vacationers here. It's better to arrive early to find an available parking space.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
