Panagia beach
The resort infrastructure of the western coast of Pelion is not as developed as in its eastern part, therefore the beaches there are mainly “wild” and unorganized. In this lies their special appeal for admirers of secluded relaxation away from civilization. One of these lost corners of the wild is Panagia Beach, located between Tsasteni and Triceron Peninsula.

Beach description
The shoreline is narrow, quite long, covered with pebbles. The beach is surrounded by hills covered with thick greenery, so you don't need to worry about the lack of umbrellas and beach canopies. The main thing to take care of is food, drinks and special shoes (between the shore stones and at the bottom you can find sea urchins). The sea of amazing turquoise color, pure as a tear. It is seldom that you see more than a dozen people here, so this place is chosen for a romantic vacation by couples in love or companies who came for a picnic.
There is a dirt road leading to the beach, but it will be difficult to drive a low-suspension vehicle on it. That's why it's better to leave the car uphill, near the small chapel, and go down on foot (about 500 meters).
Needless to say, these places are a true paradise for lovers of diving, snorkeling and fishing. Local waters are literally teeming with all sorts of marine fauna, and dolphins come right to the shore and make spectacular shows in the sunset rays.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

Infrastructure
As it is already clear from the description, the places around the beach are wild, so the nearest hotels and taverns are located in a few kilometers from the beach. It is best to settle in the village of Trikery south of the beach. There you can easily find good accommodation for every taste and budget and spend time with pleasure while enjoying the local flavor.
Argo – Mythos is a nice apart-hotel with nice sea view, intricately decorated in a traditional style. The rooms have stylized wooden furniture, embroidered bedspreads and curtains, wrought iron lamps. There is a barbecue area, a cozy living room with a fireplace, a spacious bright terrace. Free parking, bars and restaurants are located nearby.

A few kilometers south of the beach of Panagia there is another fabulous place, photographs of which can often be found in tourist brochures. This is a miniature Tsasteni beach with magnificent white sand and an emerald sea. On the right side, there are several pretty houses under red tiled roofs, but, unfortunately, this is a private area and access to them is closed. The beach is not equipped and it will not be possible to drive close it by car - it should be taken into account when going there with children.
