Pantazi Ammos beach

Pantazi Ammos is a wild sand and pebble beach on the east coast of Pelion. It is located southeast of the mythical monastery of the centaurs, 5 km from the small coastal village of Siki and just south of the village of Agios Dimitrios. This is an ideal place for those who want to swim and sunbathe away from the noisy crowds of tourists.

Beach description

The shoreline of the beach is long and wide, but there are no well-equipped recreation areas on it. There are no bars and no beach equipment for rent. You have to take everything you need with you. Pantazi Ammos is situated in a rather accessible place and there is an asphalted road to it. But it's still better to leave the car a little further from the shore, and to walk the remaining 300 meters. Such descent will be more comfortable and safe. You can also visit the Potoki Beach, which is relatively close to it.

Pantazi Ammos is most popular with young people who love diving and underwater photography. People come here for an unforgettable dive into the colorful underwater world. Families with kids rarely go there – because of the lack of developed infrastructure, frequent occurrence of large waves and quite rocky shore (huge rocks are found both on the shore and in the sea) and bottom. For walks on the beach it's recommended to have suitable shoes.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
