The main attraction of these places, of course, is the ancient and very beautiful village of Zagora, which is also called the apple capital of Pelion. The first mention of it dates to the VI century BC. During the reign of Byzantium, the city had its own port (Chorefto beach is now in its place), the best silk in Greece was produced here. Walking around the village, you can admire the ancient churches, relax in the shade of an old plane tree (here it is a little smaller than in Tsagarada, but also very impressive) and mentally move to those days when carts rumbled along cobbled streets, traders vied with each other to call customers, praising their goods, and, as now, was filled with the divine aromas of local pine forests.
