Kamari beach

Kamari Beach is a relatively small but very beautiful beach in Nome Magnesia in Thessaly. Truly Maldivian landscapes can be seen on the northeastern outskirts of the Pelion coast, about 5 km from the village of Ceramidi. This is a great place for those who want to enjoy a certain amount of privacy and swim in the incredibly clear waters.

Beach description

The coast of the Kamari is small, but quite spacious. A part of it is surrounded by majestic cliffs in emerald cut of local vegetation. Around them you can find the most secluded corners for relaxation, sitting right on the rocks in the sea.

Most of the Kamari shoreline is covered with the purest white sand with some fine pebbles that can be found when entering into the water, which impresses with its incredibly turquoise and emerald coloring. Reliable protection by rocks shields the shore from strong winds, there are almost no waves here, which creates paradise conditions for recreation even with babies.

A small but massive cliff with shrubbery on top, situated at a short distance from the shore, is a kind of business card of Kamari Beach. You can easily get to it by swimming, which is what many people do in order to get the most colorful photo while vacationing on Kamari.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
