Brava beach
Brava Beach is located in the northern part of the island Santa Katarina , 38 km from the center of the capital Florianopolis, and is one of the most beautiful beaches in this city. This place was chosen by surf lovers because of the high and long waves. By the way, in translation the name of the beach means "bold". Brava is also popular among young people, loud music and summer festivals in this part of the island are not uncommon. Families with children prefer quieter beaches with calm water.

Brava is a 1.5-km beach surrounded by high cliffs creating an unforgettable beautiful view. A wide strip of white sand with a pink tint separates the noisy bright blue Atlantic Ocean and the silent mountains covered with mangroves. In some places, the entry into the water is rocky, but the excellent transparency of the water allows you to consider all obstacles. Picturesque views, amazing atmosphere and extreme surfing attract tourists from all over the world, but mainly locals visit Brava.
Small restaurants and eateries do not work on the beach all the time, so it is better to take food with you. It is also important that the water on the Brava is several degrees cooler than on the other beaches of Brazil.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to visit Brazil – is in spring and autumn. During this period, mild and dry weather reigns here. In winter, there is heat and heavy rains. And in the summer (from June to August) the lowest temperatures are recorded in the country.
