Moreré beach

Moreré Beach is one of Brazil's little-known beaches 100 km from Salvador. Morere is located in the eponymous small fishing village on Boypeba Island, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the mouth of the Inferno River on the other. This island has a rare natural beauty: it is home to a wide variety of ecosystems surrounded by the Atlantic forest, mangroves, tall coconut palms and coral reefs that form natural pools in the ocean - Boypeb's main attraction.

Beach description

Morere still retains a natural charm untouched by human hand, thanks to the work of protecting the ecosystem of the island by local residents. The region is also famous for the abundance of fish and seafood used to prepare typical local dishes.

Morere is a spacious beach with a coast of light yellow sand, the width of which increases by several tens of meters during low tides. The water is crystal clear with a light blue tint and silver tints in the sun. In calm weather, thousands of fish swim near the shore, which can be observed with the naked eye. Shady coconut palms and almond trees complement the idyll of this beach. Moreré is recognized as one of Brazil's most beautiful beaches.

The inaccessibility of this beach can be an obstacle to travel. You can get to the island by boat from Morro de São Paulo. The fact is that there are no cars on the island, so from the pier to the beach you will have to ride a tractor specialized for transporting people or walk.

When is the best time to go?

The best time to visit Brazil – is in spring and autumn. During this period, mild and dry weather reigns here. In winter, there is heat and heavy rains. And in the summer (from June to August) the lowest temperatures are recorded in the country.
