Cachadaço beach
Cachadaço Beach or Steel Box is a beautiful and quiet beach with clear water, a long coast covered with white sand and large stones. It is located near the village of Trindade, 30 km south of Paraty. The beach is surrounded by rainforest, at the end of it there are several natural pools protected by cliffs, which makes them safe for a beach holiday with children.

There are few visitors to Cachadaço Beach and there is no standard beach infrastructure, with the exception of several campsites where you can spend the night, as well as restaurants with bars that allow you to eat local dishes during the day. This is a great place to sunbathe and swim, have a picnic, take a walk in the surroundings. Next to Cachadaço Beach is another beach - Praia do Mayo. Its waves create excellent conditions for surfing, and a strong current poses a certain threat to those who are uncertainly swimming.
You can get to Cachadaço Beach by water: by boat, bus, and then walking through the forest.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to visit Brazil – is in spring and autumn. During this period, mild and dry weather reigns here. In winter, there is heat and heavy rains. And in the summer (from June to August) the lowest temperatures are recorded in the country.
