Recreio beach
A relatively new resort on the west coast of Rio de Janeiro. It can not be attributed to wild beaches, since there are still residential buildings here, but it is difficult to call it an island among the megalopolis, because there are not so many tall buildings yet. At the same time, there is no noisy crowd on the beach, mostly a calm and friendly atmosphere prevails.

One part of the beach is more reserved for surfers, numerous tournaments are conducted among them, as well as some schools and hostels. The area with white sand is especially popular with volleyball players because several sites are open for beach sports on the shore. In general, quite wealthy people and the local elite, as well as couples with children, visit the beach. Convenient location in the city allows tourists to visit not only beach itself but also local leisure areas:
- skateboard park;
- bicycle and track rental;
- restaurants;
- shopping centers;
- cinema;
- sites for football and Frisbee;
- ecological park or museum of Brazil.
All these amenities are located on the wide, paved promenade, so on the warm and soft sand, there is always place for beach lovers, except for the time when the beach is involved in the shooting of another film because Recreio Beach has what to show.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to visit Brazil – is in spring and autumn. During this period, mild and dry weather reigns here. In winter, there is heat and heavy rains. And in the summer (from June to August) the lowest temperatures are recorded in the country.
