Copacabana beach
Copacabana Beach is one of Rio de Janeiro's business cards. It is famous for its white sand, developed infrastructure, huge size and picturesque landscapes. He is also loved for its cheerful and noisy atmosphere, a large number of entertainments and proximity to one of the most beautiful megalopolises in the world.

Beach description
Copacabana is a 4-kilometre beach located in the vicinity of Rio de Janeiro. It is covered with soft and snow-white sand, on which you can freely walk barefoot. From its shore you can see the Brazilian mountains, the endless smooth surface of water and picturesque ships.
The Copacabana has the following peculiarities:
- huge waves ideal for surfing and extreme swimming;
- a sharp increase in depth – it starts 3-4 meters from the shore;
- clean air and plenty of palm trees;
- availability of hiking and bicycle trails;
- well-maintained area – sand cleaning machine and a cleaning team are constantly working here.
The beach is created for sunbathing, tasting Brazilian cuisine, walking and surfing. Its territory is regularly patrolled by the police and has a very low crime rate. Nevertheless, the guests of Copacabana are advised not to leave things unattended.
When is it better to go:
The best time to visit Brazil – is in spring and autumn. During this period, mild and dry weather reigns here. In winter, there is heat and heavy rains. And in the summer (from June to August) the lowest temperatures are recorded in the country.

In 50 meters from the beach works the 4-star hotel Arena Copacabana Hotel. On its territory are available the following amenities:

Nearby the beach there is the Duque de Caxias, a colonial-era military fort surrounded by rainforest. At its top there is one of the best observation platforms in Rio De Janeiro. Also, this place is famous for its ancient cannons and a colony of monkeys, which willingly make contact with tourists.
